Sandro Tonali

Newcastle United would not even contemplate selling Sandro Tonali for the figures bandied around the Spanish media this morning.
A report in Mundo Deportivo this morning suggests that Barcelona are keen on Tonali again after showing interest in 2020 when a £54million offer was discussed with Brescia before he made the permanent switch to AC Milan after a loan. Barcelona scout Andrea Mancini has looked at Tonali at Newcastle this season.
However, like the clutch of Italian sides such as Juventus and Milan who have also looked at Tonali, the word from St James' Park is that it would have to be an astronomical offer for Newcastle to even begin to consider parting with one of their three midfield stars. Eddie Howe is eager to build a team around Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton with the Italy international a major part of his plans.
Suggestions of bids of around £50m from Italian clubs also surfaced in January but Newcastle quickly shut down exit talk for the midfielder.
Tonali is tied down to a Newcastle deal until 2028 and all that is asked of the star is have a strong finish to the season in the last 10 matches. Qualification for the Champions League is likely to close down suggestions of any exits for United's sought after stars.
Both Milan and Juventus were told not to waste their time in January when they approached Newcastle with enquiries for Tonali.
Dean Huijsen battle well under way
Newcastle are still understood to be interested in Bournemouth's classy centre-back Dean Huijsen but would have to qualify for the Champions League to stand a chance of getting him.
A £50million release clause is not deemed the issue for Newcastle, but with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool also keen he may see a move to one of the listed big three as a temptation to hard to turn down. With Sven Botman set to return before the end of the season and Dan Burn in sparkling form Newcastle are not exactly in short supply when it comes to centre-backs.
The Magpies are working on a new deal for Fabian Schar and a decision is due on Jamaal Lascelles.
Moise Kean competition likely
Chronicle Live reported yesterday that Newcastle have been handed a £43m quote for ex-Everton ace Moise Kean.
That would trigger his release clause from Fiorentina but Newcastle would not be alone in the race to land the Italy forward. With new director of football Andrea Berta preparing for next season, the Italian's contacts in Serie A could see Arsenal move swiftly in a deal for the 25-year-old.
Kean cost La Viola just £25m last season from Juventus and is deemed a bargain after firing in 21 goals this term.
