Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has cemented himself as one of the biggest stars in the NFL due to his supreme athletic ability and raw arm talent that has shown constantly over the course of his seven-year NFL career. But now, Jackson will be showing himself to an entirely different audience in his first-ever acting gig.
In a post on Instagram on Friday, Jackson revealed that he would be cast as a character named “E-Tone” in the Starz series Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
“I’m so excited for fans to see me in this new role and thrilled to be a part of Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” wrote Jackson. “My character, E-Tone, is a deadly, dangerous character. You don’t want to get on his bad side.”

It’s unclear when Jackson will make his on-air debut for the audience at home. But considering the fact that the newest season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan just premiered earlier this month, there is likely a chance that Jackson could make an appearance at some point in this season of the show.
Either way, it should certainly be interesting to see how Jackson is integrated into the show and whether he can follow in the footsteps of some of the NFL legends who went on to act after their NFL careers, a list of players including Jim Brown, Terry Bradshaw, Terry Crews, and Fred Dryer among many others.
