Everton supporter and mixed martial artist Molly McCann was in action last night as she faced Alexia Thainara at UFC London.
Molly McCann is one of the most popular English fighters in the UFC and Everton fans are always looking out for her events.
Unfortunately, McCann suffered defeat via submission at the O2 on Saturday night, which was her fourth loss in her last five fights.
The 34-year-old has been on a slow decline but her heart and commitment have never waivered, such is why she’s a fan favourite.
After a productive seven-year career in the UFC, McCann decided to retire in the Octogan and now Everton have sent her a message.

Everton send Molly McCann congratulations message after retiring
Following McCann’s defeat at UFC London, she announced her retirement after a trailblazing career in the sport.
“UFC and Dana (White), I started this sport at 24 and I have given you all my heart and soul. Tonight, with that performance on a week’s notice, it’s not good enough – the UFC deserves more,” the 34-year-old said.
“From a little girl from Norris Green fighting in arenas – look at me, look at what I’ve managed to do.”

McCann won 14 of her 22 fights and was the first Englishwoman to secure a victory in the prestigious UFC.
Everton sent her a congratulations message which all Toffees supporters will certainly agree with.
McCann signed off her retirement interview with Everton chant
McCann’s final words on the microphone last night amplified her love for Everton football club.
The Merseyside fighter shouted: “Up the f***ing Toffees.”
Fellow UFC star Paddy Pimblett was pictured fighting back the tears as he watched his Next Gen Gym teammate lay down the gloves.
McCann will now seek new endeavours in her post-fight career and she already has an Italian-inspired coffee shop called Moll & Joel’s Rolls based Garston which she will continue to oversee along with her best friend.
As well as coffee, the cafe serves Italian bakery items and desserts.
