LeBron James Makes Strong Claim About Bronny James’ Progress With Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a blowout 146-115 loss against the Chicago Bulls in their most recent outing. That kind of defence is not acceptable if they want to compete for a Championship this season.

Even more worryingly for the Lakers, both LeBron James and Luka Doncic were on the court on the night, combining for 51 points.

Bronny James was only handed seven minutes against the Bulls, scoring two points and also registering an assist.

It might not have been a memorable night for Bronny but the progress he has made over the course of this season has been evident.

In the Lakers' previous outing against the Milwaukee Bucks, Bronny came off the bench to score 17 points while also having five assists and three rebounds to his name in 30 minutes of action. That was by far his best game in the NBA.

In the process, Bronny also joined a historic list of Lakers players under the age of 21 to have put up 15+ points and 5+ assists off the bench. That list includes names like Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnston.

While talking to reporters about the progress that Bronny has made with the Lakers, LeBron said: "I've seen he's gotten better from the moment he made his first game back after the incident with USC to the moment the other night when he stepped on the floor."

Lebron on Bronny's progression:

"I've seen he's gotten better from the moment he made his first game back after the incident with USC to the moment the other night when he stepped on the floor. He's starting to feel it once again before he had the incident" https://t.co/Xx3M5FlFdLpic.twitter.com/iD4EvF5V14

Bronny has been under the microscope since the moment he was selected by the Lakers with the 55th pick.

There are many who believe that he does not belong in the league. And while he has not done anything significant so far, he has clearly improved as a player and is now proving that he is capable of making an impact off the bench for the Lakers.

It is important to give him the time that he needs to find his feet in the league but if Bronny keeps on this trajectory, he might end up proving a lot of doubters wrong over the course of his career in the NBA.
