Every Chelsea player on NXGN's best wonderkids list as Estevao Willian leads the way for exciting future

The Chelsea owners have not made it a secret that they are keen to invest heavily in young players to shape the future of their club.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have been criticised from all corners for their methods since taking over, with supporters protesting Boehly before a recent Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

One of the things those fans have pleaded for is signings to immediately impact the first team squad, however it cannot be argued that there is an exciting future on the horizon for the Blues based on some of the names they have brought in.

The highlight addition up to now has been Estevao Willian, who will join at the end of the season after Chelsea beat the likes of PSG to his signature.

While the future is bright because of those being brought in, there are a number of players already in West London that have exciting prospects for the first team.

Chelsea’s most promising youngsters as Top 50 list emerges

38: Josh Acheampong

Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong could easily have been playing for another top side after an incident earlier this season when he was frozen out of all club duties after refusing to sign a new contract.

The likes of Real Madrid were linked to Acheampong, which is a sign in itself of how much promise he has, and the Blues were delighted when he signed a new deal.

There is concern as to why Maresca hasn’t been selecting Acheampong more in recent months, especially amid injury problems to the likes of Wesley Fofana and Malo Gusto.

However, the teenager is an immense talent, and Chelsea are lucky to have him on their books for years to come.

31: Marc Guiu

While Nicolas Jackson’s absence has been felt in recent weeks, so has Marc Guiu’s after he picked up an injury in the same game as the Senegal international.

The Spaniard was the top scorer of the group stages of the Conference League, and Chelsea turned down loaning Guiu in January, a statement of where they see him in his progression.

The Blues will be delighted at the cheap price they paid to sign the striker from Barcelona, and his return from injury could be a big moment in their race for Champions League qualification for next season.

20: Kendry Paez

Kendry Paez is another player who is set to join the club at the end of this season, however it remains unclear what the immediate future has in store for the promising midfielder.

Chelsea can boast arguably the best midfield depth in the league if Paez is added, however talk of a loan to Strasbourg to further his development has not disappeared.

Paez has set international records already during his time playing for Ecuador, with him establishing himself as a regular in their squad already.

11: Geovany Quenda

Chelsea are not messing around when it comes to the upcoming summer transfer window, with them already confirming the signing of Geovany Quenda.

The teenager has impressed greatly playing for Sporting Lisbon, with Ruben Amorim a huge fan of Quenda amid Manchester United’s interest.

It was the Blues who got the deal over the line though, and will be welcoming him into their ranks at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Quenda is higher on the list than Tyler Dibling, who was signed by Chelsea before rejoining Southampton in the same transfer window.

2: Estevao Willian

Chelsea’s highest ranked player on the list comes in second of all players involved, only behind Lamine Yamal of the most promising youngsters.

Enzo Maresca will have the winger available to him next season, and the Blues are excited about Estevao arriving and making an immediate impact on the first team.

It remains to be seen what position the Brazil international picks up in the side, with talk of Estevao being promised the Number 10 role that is normally where Cole Palmer plays.

There is likely going to be pressure on Estevao to work out from above, with him being the centrepiece of the owners’ ambitious plan being undertaken at Stamford Bridge.
