Everton Bramley-Moore Dock live as fans prepare for test evacuation

The next test game at Everton's Bramley-Moore Stadium takes place today, with the Under-21s taking on Bolton Wanderers B. But the match, which will be played in front of 25,000 fans, will end early as a test evacuation of the new stadium takes place.

The planned evacuation is the latest stage of work towards earning the safety and licensing approvals the 52,888 capacity stadium needs for the Blues to make the summer move from Goodison Park. The friendly, which kicks off at 2pm, will end abruptly during the second half, with supporters urged to follow the guidance signposted to them. Fans will not be able to get back into the stadium.

The first test match was held on Monday, February 17, when 10,000 Blues were invited to sample the club's new docklands home. While many were impressed with the new stadium, there were huge concerns shared about the safety of those travelling to and from Sandhills - the nearest [Merseyrail](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/all-about/merseyrail) station.

There was [criticism of a so-called 'fan zone' of metal fences](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/mayor-responds-after-everton-fans-30959057) that had been constructed in the car park of the station, and fans warned the cramped conditions around the station could have ended in disaster. But the Blues have said they have been working with transport authorities to ensure local services are timed to manage the flow of people away from Bramley-Moore Dock as they exit the stadium.

We'll have reporters inside the stadium bringing you live updates, colour and much more from the second test match at Everton's new stadium, and the subsequent test evacuation and experience of fans travelling home.
