With his latest NBA milestone, Kyshawn George has joined a vaunted list of two-way players headlined by Jayson Tatum.
The Washington Wizards rookie blocked a Paolo Banchero floater in the third quarter of his team's 120-105 loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday at Capital One Arena. The swat was the 50th of George's young career.
With the block, George became just the fourth player in NBA history to record at least 60 steals, 50 blocks, and 100 three-pointers in his rookie season. Kyshawn finds himself in some pretty good company given that the other three are Tatum, Shane Battier, and Victor Wembanyama.

George joins a pretty interesting group.
Tatum is a bona fide superstar and proven first option on a championship-winning Boston Celtics team. Battier was the quintessential 3-and-D role player who impacted winning in variety of ways throughout his 13-year NBA career. Wembanyama is already an all-world defender who has a developing, yet unblockable three-point stroke.
All three are completely unique, and it's unlikely George can mimic any of their career paths to a tee. But it also exemplifies how rare George's skill set already is at just 21 years old.
George has made a three-pointer in 31 straight games, an ongoing streak that has more than doubled the length of the previous Wizards rookie record (Corey Kispert did 15 straight in 2021-22). He also beat out Bradley Beal to become the fastest Wizards rookie with 100 total threes made.
In 15 games since the All-Star break, George has averaged 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks. His blocks and steals have not come cheap, either. Aside from Banchero, George has held his own defensively against All-Stars such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Cade Cunningham, and Scottie Barnes. George has also flashed his playmaking during that span, averaging nearly four assists per contest.
George may not have the ceiling of Tatum or Wembanyama, but the future looks promising for the Wizards youngster.
