Everton’s owners The Friedkin Group (TFG) is making preparations ahead of the club’s move to the new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock for next season.
The Merseysiders have all but secured their Premier League status this season following the appointment of David Moyes earlier this year.
Angus Kinnear, who has spent eight years with Leeds United, has been drafted in as the club’s new CEO, effective from June.
Everton have now announced the appointments of two members of their executive leadership team, with Aaron Duckmanton joining as chief marketing and digital officer and Simon Hunter joining as chief stadium commercial officer.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider TFG is looking to “upgrade all aspects of the club” following the new appointments.
As part of the boardroom changes, director of football Kevin Thelwell will leave Everton at the end of this season, while chief commercial and communications officer Richard Kenyon is also set to depart after 11 years at Goodison Park.

The duo played a key role in keeping the club going during the latter stages of Farhad Moshiri’s ownership, where they faced several issues on and off the pitch.

Borson insisted Everton’s executive team did an “amazing” job leading the club during their previous struggles.
He told Football Insider: “I think the changes are all part of a very clear plan to upgrade all aspects of the club, starting from the management team down.
“I think some people probably losing their roles is quite unfair. It wasn’t spoken about enough, but I do think that the Everton executive team that dealt with what they have had to deal with over the last two years did an amazing job in many ways.
“It is not easy to balance a sale process, multiple collapsed deals, PSR issues, new stadium build, problems on the pitch and manager changes.
“It’s an amazing set of problems all in the public eye, all with everybody getting involved and people like us having a conversation about the direction of travel in the middle of that mess that they had with 777.
“The executive team wouldn’t have been responsible for that. If Mishiri wanted to do that deal, it wasn’t their fault. I think they did, in many ways, an amazing job, so it’s going to be unfortunate for them to then find that they’re out of Everton.
“But things have to develop, so it’s like any new investment or project. It’s happened in almost every single club you can think of where new owners have come in and want their own people around.
“It’s happened at United. It happened at City when they were taken over by Sheikh Mansour. It’s happened at Liverpool as well. It’s a natural change, so I don’t think anyone can really complain.
“But the good thing for Everton is that clearly the intention is for them to develop and build and take the opportunities that they think are there once they move into the new stadium, which is very positive for their club.”
Everton race to sign Tammy Abraham
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Everton are racing to sign Tammy Abraham as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to leave the club this summer.
Calvert-Lewin has registered just three goals in 22 appearances this season, while Abraham has scored eight times in 36 outings on loan at AC Milan from Roma.

Newcastle are plotting a move to sign Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer once his Everton contract expires on 30 June.
The 28-year-old has missed the past eight games through injury, with Moyes’s side currently sitting 15th in the Premier League table after 29 matches.
