In large part thanks to a four-game winning streak, the Indiana Pacers have reclaimed fourth place in the Eastern Conference back from the Milwaukee Bucks. None of their four wins have been without drama. The first three were decided in overtime or in the final seconds, and the third involved ejections and fighting.
On Saturday night, the Pacers dispatched the Brooklyn Nets, winning 108-103, although it took everything Indiana had to hold off their Conference rivals.
Heading into the fourth quarter, the Pacers led by 20 points. However, Cameron Johnson and Trendon Watford, who was ejected from the last contest, combined for 18 fourth-quarter points, and the Nets forced six turnovers in the final frame.
In the first three quarters, everyone on Indiana was red-hot, but the team failed to make a 3-pointer in the last 12 minutes, allowing for a comeback. Fortunately, the Pacers had dominated the game up until that point and were able to hold off Brooklyn's efforts.
Pascal Siakam scored 26 and 22 points, respectively, and they were supported by a Tyrese Haliburton double-double, 13 points from Bennedict Mathurin, and 10 from Obi Toppin.
The Pacers wish they could win with ease, but have dropped only one game in their last seven contests, and as they march into the playoffs, there's no such thing as a bad win.
