TOKYO -- The approval rating of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba's cabinet slid to 35% in the latest Nikkei/TV Tokyo poll, down 5 percentage points from the February survey to reach the lowest since he took office in October.

The disapproval rating rose 7 percentage points to 59%, its highest yet.
