Manchester United will seek attacking additions this summer but one winger is thriving after leaving Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has seen encouraging signs from Manchester United of late but will be under no illusions.
United need major reinforcements this summer and it’s no surprise to see attacking additions at the heart of the early summer rumour mill.
Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is wanted by United with a new forward seemingly a top priority.
RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons is wanted by United with a versatile playmaker seemingly in the wish list too.
Amorim will surely want more goals, creativity and guile in the final third moving forward, which may just leave fans wondering how Anthony Elanga would fare under Amorim.

Anthony Elanga on leaving Manchester United
United sold Elanga to Nottingham Forest in 2023 with the Swede leaving Old Trafford for £15million.
Elanga had shown signs of his quality in the United first team but Erik ten Hag decided to let him go.

The 22-year-old bagged five goals and nine assists for Forest last season and has been a major threat this season too.
Five goals and eight assists in 29 Premier League outings means that Elanga has time to beat his record from last term.
Elanga considers himself to be the Premier League’s fastest player and has now commented on leaving United.
Speaking to Fotboll Skanalen, Elanga admitted that he still loves United with the club having a ‘special place’ in his heart.
Elanga added that he still watches United games and it still hurts him to see the club struggling.
“United are one of the best teams in the world,” said Elanga.
“I still love the club. I watch their games and they have a special place in my heart. When I see them not doing very well, it hurts a little,” he added.
Elanga on Nottingham Forest
Elanga is now challenging for Champions League qualification with Forest, who sit 17 points ahead of United.
The wide man added that he thinks the decision to join Forest was a good one and he remains happy with his call to leave United.
Elanga believes that he may well receive interest this summer off the back of his Forest performances, but he is happy at the City Ground.
“I think I made a good decision. I’m happy about it,” said Elanga.
“If I have a good season there will always be teams that want to talk. But right now I’m in Nottingham and I’m happy there,” he added.
We can’t imagine United moving to re-sign Elanga any time soon but a potential sell-on clause could be a real factor.
United will keep tabs on that situation this summer and fans will ultimately wish Elanga all the best as he continues to shine for Forest.
