The Kansas City Chiefs have had a solid offseason thus far, with Marquise Brown among a host of players returning after a 2024 season that ended on a sour note.
Brown played only five games for his new team in 2024, with an injury in the first preseason game sidelining him until Week 16.
Brown did show glimpses, but that was it - glimpses. Having not been able to truly show what he could do with the Chiefs offense left Brown and, as it turns out, Kansas City wanting more.
For Brown, he knows the fans didn't see the "real" player he knows he can be.
"No I didn't really, I mean except the people in the building, my teammates, my coaches and it carried me a long way," Brown said. "They know the type of guy I am, the type of work I put in, and essentially, that's one of the reasons I got brought back because a few games I played, I was able to open things up for the offense a lot but wasn't really involved that much. I just know the impression that I left is something that I want to show the whole Chiefs Kingdom and really show what I can do."
So the organization knows what Brown is all about, but fans just see the nine catches for 91 yards in the regular season and five catches for 50 yards in the playoffs and think, why bother with a return?

Marquise came to a new team and got injured before the season began, so he had to develop that real-live chemistry on the fly in the biggest moments, which isn't easy.
Now he's coming back and determined to hit the ground running and show Chiefs Kingdom what he's all about as part of Andy Reid's offense.
