Juventus have confirmed the dismissal of Thiago Motta and replaced him with Igor Tudor.

The Bianconeri have parted company with the 42-year-old Motta, whose final match in charge was a 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina before the current international break.

"The club would like to thank Thiago Motta and all of his staff for their professionalism and for the work they have carried out in recent months with passion and dedication. The club wish them the best of luck for the future.

"Juventus FC also announce that the men’s first team will now be led by Igor Tudor, who will take charge of his first training session tomorrow, Monday, 24 March."

It has been a difficult campaign for the Turin outfit, whose focus is now on securing UEFA Champions League qualification.

Juve were eliminated in the UEFA Champions League play-off round by PSV Eindhoven, and saw their defence of the Coppa Italia ended by a penalty shoot-out defeat to Empoli last month.

Tudor takes the reins at the club having spent nine years as a player with The Bianconeri between 1998 and 2007.

The 46-year-old embarks on his fourth managerial role in Italy, following previous stints in charge of Udinese, Hellas Verona and Lazio.

He has also managed Hajduk Split in his native Croatia, along with Marseille, Galatasaray, Karabukspor and PAOK.

His sole major honour as a manager came in the 2012/13 season, when he led Hajduk to Croatian Cup glory.

Tudor's first match in charge of Juventus comes against Genoa on Saturday.
