Jimmy Butler Gets Honest About His Return To Miami

It’s been weeks since the Golden State Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler.

However, it will take a while before people forget about his feud with the Miami Heat.

The star guard/forward had a very public fallout with his former team.

That’s why, now that the Warriors will face the Heat for the first time since the trade, he was obviously asked his thoughts ahead of that matchup.

Butler, however, didn’t care about squaring off vs. his former teammates, and he claimed that it was all in the past (via NBA on ESPN).

Of course, that’s hard to believe.

NBA players are competitors who often love to go off when they go against their former teams, especially when things don’t end well.

Butler is known for his competitiveness and harshness, so he will most definitely have something special prepared to remind Pat Riley of the player he could’ve had and lost.

The Heat have free-fallen since Butler left, whereas the Warriors have only lost two games with him in the lineup.

Butler led the Heat to the NBA Finals twice, but they couldn’t finish the job vs. the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets.

The Warriors traded for him to make another run at a championship in Stephen Curry’s prime, and while it seemed far-fetched at first, they’ve looked like a championship contender since his arrival.

It’ll be interesting to see how far they can go this season, and that first game vs. the Heat will most definitely be must-watch television for NBA fans all over the world.
