Shedeur Sanders Rumors Include Draft Trade-Up for NFC West Rivals

The San Francisco 49ers have built an offensive system that has shown an ability to win with multiple quarterbacks involved no matter who is leading the way.

Whether it's Jimmy Garoppolo or Brock Purdy (or even Trey Lance for a little bit), the 49ers and head coach Kyle Shanahan have shown an ability to win no matter who the signal-caller is.

Especially with a talented roster surrounding them with All-Pros are on every side of the ball.

Could that lead to San Fran trading up from the 11th overall pick to select a quarterback like Colorado's Shedeur Sanders?

According to Bucky Brooks of NFL Network, he believes Sanders would be an excellent fit for the 49ers rival in the Los Angeles Rams.

"If Sean McVay can transform Jared Goff into a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl quarterback, he would work his magic with Sanders, given their similar games," writes Brooks. "As a creative play-designer who employs a quarterback-friendly scheme, McVay could handcraft an offense that accentuates Sanders' game as a drop-back passer."

Of course, if the Rams are capable of drafting and putting Sanders in a scheme that works for him, so too can the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan.

Remember, Shanahan and McVay run extremely similar offensive systems that are predicated on accurate quarterbacks and quality players all around the offense. It's why the 49ers can very well be used as an example of a trade-up for Sanders.

And they have the quarterback question with Brock Purdy to only enhance that thought.
