Enrico Chiesa, the father of Liverpool star Federico Chiesa, revealed that his son is happy at the Merseyside club. The 27-year-old has struggled to receive significant game time under head coach Arne Slot since joining the Reds last summer.
Liverpool signed the Italian international from Juventus in a bargain deal due to the political manoeuvring from former manager Thiago Motta. Chiesa struggled with fitness in recent seasons, with his former club rushing him back every time after an anterior cruciate ligament injury in early 2022.
The Reds have allowed Chiesa to take as much time as possible to recuperate after he missed the pre-season training. However, the rumour mill has worked incessantly with news about a potential transfer back to Italy due to less game-time.
Recent 15-minute Cameo of Federico Chiesa surpassed everything Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have done for Liverpool in 2025
Speaking to Tuttosport (via Fabrizio Romano’s X), Chiesa revealed that his son is happy at Liverpool, rubbishing all the rumours. He said:
“I can guarantee that Federico’s very happy at Liverpool. We hope he can win the Premier League, we have no regrets about Juventus. He’s so happy at Liverpool”.
hiesa played an incredible cameo against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final loss for Liverpool. The 27-year-old’s abilities are parallel with what the club hope from their attacking player and he could become a regular.
Liverpool have six attacking options apart from the midfielders who can play in the area comfortably if required. However, three of those attackers, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, are under severe scrutiny due to inconsistency.
Chiesa could play a crucial role in the remaining Premier League fixture, with fans hoping to see more of him. Rest assured, the Italian international deserves a starting role more than most of the struggling players.

If Chiesa could establish himself as a consistent performer at Liverpool, the Italian international would become a key player next season. Furthermore, the once-bargain signing has all the ability to match any costly forward in the world, an ability he has displayed in the past during the Euro 2020 competition and for Juventus.
