Brentford claimed a 4-2 win over Bromley in the LSE Division One North on Sunday afternoon at Gtech Community Stadium.
Karleigh Osborne’s side were in fine form at the Gtech as Chloe Logie scored a hat-trick. Ashley Cheatley struck once, scoring from the spot as the Bees cruised to three points.
The Bees began with real intent, pushing their opponents back towards their goal, probing the edge of their box.
Bromley did have an early opportunity at goal, but Carolin Engelhard made a great tackle to deny the Bromley striker.
Brentford had their first opening in the early stages as Cheatley raced clear of the backline but a last-ditch tackle from Hannah Paige diverted the ball away from the striker.
A penalty was won for the Bees by Logie as her goalbound effort was diverted away by the hand of Melanie Espinosa. Logie stepped up to take the penalty but Charlotte Greenwood in the Bromley net saved comfortably.
Alissa Down was next to go close as she had a free-kick from distance which cannoned off the crossbar.
The pressure was increasing from the home side and Logie fired from an awkward angle, drawing a remarkable save from Greenwood.
The deadlock was broken on 23 minutes as Logie finished from close range following a goalmouth scramble in the box.
The goal seemed to do away with opening minute nerves as Logie pounced on an error at the back, breaking clear of the away side defence and finishing confidently past the keeper.
Osborne’s side were in full confidence and Woods after beating her opponent was fouled in the penalty box by full back Mercedes Bromfield. Cheatley stepped up to take this one and smashing into the top corner to give the west London side their third.
The Ravens began the second period with intent, and they drew a good save from Lily Hadrava.
The home side scored their fourth and it was Logie who completed her hat-trick, similar to her second, she was played through and then her shot was placed well into the corner.
Hannah Paige scored for Bromley with a strike from long distance as the away side grabbed one back.
There was also enough time for them to get a second with a late goal from Jessie Carpanini for the away side.
Osborne’s side controlled the ball for the remaining minutes of the match cruising to yet another Gtech win.
A fine first-half performance where three goals were scored in 12 minutes ensured the Bees were comfortable for most of the afternoon.
Victory means that Brentford edge closer to the season's target of promotion as they remain undefeated in the league.
