Rams Pull Off Major Trade in Latest NFL Mock Draft

The Los Angeles Rams pivot back to trade them picks mode in the latest NFL mock draft. Except they stay in the first round and bolster the offense.

NFL Network draft expert Chad Reuter delivered this new stirring prediction for the Rams: They trade down to No. 32 in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. But they add one more piece in the wide receiver room.

Reuter calls for the Rams to take Texas star Isaiah Bond at 32nd overall. He adds the Rams also earn one more selection via Philly in this deal,

"The Rams move down in the first round to get a third pick in the third round, an area of the draft in which general manager Les Snead and his scouts have excelled in recent years," Reuter writes. "They still find an immense talent available at No. 32, though, in Bond."

Reuter broke down why Bond is labeled a fit inside the "Rams House."

"His suddenness after the catch and willingness to take (and make) hits despite his slight build give him an outside shot of joining Texas teammate Matthew Golden in Round 1," Reuter said.

Bond obviously isn't faster than his heralded Longhorns teammate. But he blazed his own 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds at the combine -- proving there's speed in Austin.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Bond is called "fluid, fast and untapped" by NFL Network draft analyst Lance Zierlein. He's even drawn comparisons to Miami Dolphins star wideout Jaylen Waddle.

Bond, however, enters a crowded WR room in Los Angeles. The Rams scored a massive free agent addition with Davante Adams during free agency. L.A. also re-signed 2021 second rounder Tutu Atwell to a one-year deal. Puka Nacua has already established himself as the leading wideout the last two seasons.

Bond would add to the Texas representation in L.A., though, if taken. He'd join former teammate Jordan Whittington in the Rams' WR room.
