Everton will have one thing in their favour as they move to Bramley-Moore Dock at the start of next season.

The Toffees are set to move to their new stadium after spending over 130 years at Goodison Park.

Fans will undoubtedly be emotional when the final game at the historic ground kicks off after enjoying some magical moments over the years.

Goodison Park witnessed historic scenes in its last Merseyside Derby, and supporters will hope to create similar memories at Bramley-Moore Dock in the coming campaigns.

Meis was given the impression early on that Bramley-Moore Dock needed to be a “proper” football stadium, with supporters wanting to be close to the action.

Speaking to Sky Sports News (23 March), the architect said: “Fans and the club. It was something I was told very early on. We are not like a lot of the other clubs. This has got to be a very proper football stadium. Fans want to be right on top of the pitch. That’s the most important thing. In the end, it becomes a very important home pitch advantage for the club.”

David Moyes to start new era at Bramley-Moore Dock

David Moyes has taken the Premier League by storm since returning to Everton, going on an eight-game unbeaten run.

The Scottish manager has brought the best out of the Toffees over the last few months, and the change in fortune has been down to him.

While the Goodison Park faithful were fearful of relegation under Sean Dyche, Moyes has ensured all but ensured that doesn’t happen.

It would have been embarrassing for the Merseyside outfit to start the new season at Bramley-Moore Dock in the Championship.

With the Toffees 17 points clear of 18th-place Ipswich Town, The Friedkin Group (TFG) can plan for the future in the Premier League.

TFG will need to back Moyes next summer, though, if they want to see progress being made at the Blues after several years of battling relegation.

After a disappointing spell under Farhad Moshiri, the Friedkins have renewed hope among the supporters, but the Americans must be diligent as they start a new era on the banks of Mersey.
