The Washington Commanders surprised many with last season's 12-5 performance and appearance in the NFC Championship game in Dan Quinn's first season as head coach.
General manager Adam Peters put together a roster that is built to compete for years to come. So far this offseason, Peters has tweaked that roster and added more talent.
One of those additions is wideout Deebo Samuel, acquired via trade from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick.
Not long after Samuel arrived, questions about his conditioning were raised based on workout videos posted online showing him looking out of shape.
Samuel dealt with injuries last season and missed two games.
During his introductory press conference, Samuel addressed those concerns.
"That don't move me," Samuel said.
Samuel has never let criticism affect his play on the field, and he most likely won't start now. Even if he is a bit out of shape, it's March, the offseason, and there will be plenty of time for Samuel and his teammates to get back into playing shape.

Quinn has built a winning culture in one season in Washington alongside the new ownership group headed by Josh Harris, and that attracted Samuel to the DMC.
