On March 21, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Brazilian Ambassador to China Marcos Galvao at the latter's request. Miao Deyu said that China is ready to work with Brazil to jointly deliver on the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, actively promote the building of a China-Brazil community with a shared future, speed up efforts to synergize the Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil's development strategies, and continuously make contributions to China-Brazil and China-Latin America cooperation and the common development of the Global South.
Marcos Galvao said that under the current international situation, the strategic impact of Brazil-China relations is increasingly prominent. Brazil is willing to deepen strategic coordination and practical cooperation in various fields with China, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and continuously promote bilateral relations to new heights.
