On 19March, H.E. Ambassador LIU Jin met with Mr.Nathan Nsubuga BAKYAITA, WHO Country Representative.
H.E. Ambassador LIUJin introduced the health and medical cooperation between China and The Gambia and emphasized that health is one of the key areas of cooperation between the two countries, and that China will deeply implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Summit and continue to help The Gambiaenhance its health system and public health security.
Mr. BAKYAITAexpressed appreciation to China for its assistance to African countries in the field of health care,introduced the mission and next plan of WHO office in The Gambia and expressed his willingness to maintain communication and collaboration with the Chinese Embassy.
Representatives of China Medical Team in The Gambia attended the meeting.
