On Mar 17, 2025, Consul General Xu Wei met with the Director General of the Persian Gulf Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Mohsen Raisi and the President of Sobhe Sahel News Mehrab Rashidi, communicated the spirit of China’s Two Sessions and exchanged views on deepening media cooperation.
Consul General Xu extended Nowruz greetings to media friends, stating that with the successful conclusion of China’s Two Sessions, the country will remain the powerhouse of world economic growth. China stands ready to inject stability and certainty into a changing and turbulent world, share the vast opportunities of Chinese modernization and support Iran and other developing countries in realizing better development. As the media serve as bridges of friendship between the two countries, China is willing to deepen media cooperation with Iran to write a new chapter of bilateral cooperation.
The Iranian side highly commended China’s tremendous achievements in development. Noting that Iran and China enjoy a traditional friendship, Iranian media will act as the promoter of such bonds to enhance the Iranian people's awareness of China and bilateral cooperation.
