Barcelona have offered a glimpse into Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s current progress as the goalkeeper continues to work his way back from knee surgery.
The goalkeeper has been out of action since going under the knife back in September but has been back in training for a little while.
It’s hoped Ter Stegen will return to full training with his team-mates next month, and he certainly looks to be in pretty good shape right now.
Ter Stegen is believed to have always held out hope he could make his return before the end of the season but it’s still not clear if that will happen.
Barcelona are unlikely to be willing to rush him back after such a long lay-off and particularly with first choice Wojciech Szczęsny doing a fine job between the sticks.
Indeed Diario Sport report that even if Ter Stegen does play again for Barca it won’t be in the Champions League. Barca would have to release Szczesny from the squad to reinstate Ter Stegen which is said to be “very, very unlikely.”
