Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has decided to sell inconsistent goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer, it has been claimed.
Onana, 28, arrived at Old Trafford from Inter Milan for £47.5million in July 2023 following the departure of David de Gea. The Cameroon international was viewed as one of the best ball-playing goalkeepers on the planet prior to his arrival, but has underwhelmed since his move to England.

Now, after almost two years at United, Onana is expected to depart the club in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. It's claimed that clubs in Saudi Arabia have expressed an interest in signing Onana and that Amorim is set to sanction his departure should a suitable offer arrive.
Onana has kept eight clean sheets in 29 Premier League appearances for United this season. He requires one more from his final nine games to match his total from last season.
Looking at replacements for Onana, United are said to be tracking Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens and Lille's Lucas Chevalier. Both have also been linked with Manchester City, who are planning for life without Ederson with the Brazilian tipped to make the switch to Saudi Arabia, like Onana.
Earlier this month, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe named Onana as one of the United players that is 'overpaid'. Former United forward Louis Saha, meanwhile, claimed that Onana's performances were 'not acceptable' and 'not normal' when assessing the club's fortunes in January.
"If you don’t have a confident goalkeeper he has to be challenged," Saha said. "Those performances are unacceptable, it’s not normal! There is a need for every player at Manchester United – apart from Bruno Fernandes – to feel threatened with competition.
"No one has shown that they deserve anything in the next game. The manager can challenge and criticise them because it’s not good enough.
"The backbone of this team, from the back four to the centre forwards, it’s so important that they don’t make mistakes.
"Unless you can guarantee that you’re not going to make mistakes, you should not be considered as a guaranteed starter in any position. None of those players should be guaranteed anything."
United are back in action when they face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, April 1. They sit 13th in the Premier League table on just 10 wins from their 29 matches.
