The Boston Celtics will kick off their four-game Western Conference road trip on Monday with a matchup against the Sacramento Kings. Boston enters the contest on a five-game win streak, maintaining their momentum as they push for back-to-back NBA titles.
The Kings, on the other hand, have struggled in recent weeks due to injuries to key players, including Domantas Sabonis and Malik Monk. Sacramento has lost two straight games and six of their last nine, slipping to ninth place in the West.
Sabonis has been dealing with multiple injuries, missing three straight games and nine of the last 11. The 28-year-old initially suffered a hamstring injury against the Houston Rockets before re-aggravating his ankle in his return against the Memphis Grizzlies on March 17.

Now, ahead of their crucial game against Boston, the Kings have provided a major injury update, signaling a potential return for their star big man:
"Sacramento Kings forward-center Domantas Sabonis has made significant progress in the return-to-play process after missing three games with a moderate right ankle sprain. Sabonis was a full participant in practice today and will be listed as questionable for tomorrow's game versus the Boston Celtics."
This update is a huge relief for Sacramento, especially since the team initially projected Sabonis to miss up to 10 days via a report by ESPN's Shams Charania on March 18. His return would be crucial for the Kings as they fight to hold onto the ninth seed in the West, with a direct playoff berth likely out of reach.
Sacramento has already faced Boston once this season, securing a 114-97 victory over the defending champions. Sabonis was instrumental in that win, recording a dominant 23-point, 28-rebound double-double. Should he return on Monday night, he will aim to lead the Kings to a season sweep against the Celtics.
