Former New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones has had an interesting career since being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, now playing on his third team after quickly flaming out with the Pats.
Jones joined the San Francisco 49ers in free agency, hoping to revive his career with head coach Kyle Shanahan following a disappointing tenure with the disastrous Jacksonville Jaguars.
He's garnered a reputation for locker room issues, though Jones is already trying to correct those mistakes by kissing up to 49ers players and Shanahan.

Mac Jones Claims Surrounding Himself With "Winners" is Why He Joined 49ers
In comments released by the Patriots' website, Jones seemingly took a subliminal shot at New England while simultaneously praising San Francisco.
"I feel like there's a lot of good people here, a lot of winners here," Jones said. "So really just wanted to surround myself with winners."
He also noted that he was eager to learn in a "proven system" under Shanahan, which is a fair point considering the struggles Jones has suffered early in his career. While he was a Pro Bowler in his rookie campaign, he's just 10-22 as a starter in three years since, rarely showing the kind of promise that made him such a high draft pick.
Now, he'll get the chance to learn under Brock Purdy alongside Shanahan, an interesting development considering that Purdy was the final pick of the 2022 draft. Life comes at you fast, and Jones needs to salvage his career if he doesn't want to hold the "bust" reputation alongside some of the character concerns.
"I know Brock personally and he's done a great job and played really good football in the NFL, so I've been really watching him from afar on game film and stuff and really just want to learn from him and be a sponge," Jones continued. "And obviously Kyle (Shanahan) and his résumé speaks for itself. He's done a great job in the NFL and he always produces each year and that's something that I want to be around."
For Jones' sake, here's hoping this is a successful move. Otherwise, his NFL career could be over as quickly as it started.
