On March 19, 2025, Consul General of China in Johannesburg, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, met with the Speaker of Gauteng Provincial Legislature, Ms. Morakane Mosupyoe. The two sides exchanged views on promoting China-South Africa friendship and sub-national engagements and cooperation under the new situation and agreed to strengthen communication and practical cooperation to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
