James Harden Welcomes New Arizona State Women’s Basketball Head Coach With 5-Word Message

James Harden is one of if not the most famous Arizona State Sun Devils alums in the world of sports, a top 75 NBA player of all-time whose scoring exploits on the court are the stuff of legends.

On Sunday, Harden scored 17 points and dished out eight assists while grabbing five rebounds against the Oklahoma State Thunder in a close game that ended with a 103-101 score in favor of the Thunder.

The day also brought a surprise tweet from Harden on the current state of affairs involving his alma mater's women's basketball program's recent hire of a new coach that had fans talking.

"Welcome to the Valley MM!" Harden said to incoming ASU Sun Devils women's basketball head coach Molly Miller in a tweet that was seen over a million times as of the morning hours of March 24, showing the immense influence of the LA Clippers star.

Miller previously coached at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri who went viral for her time at Grand Canyon University, where she won WAC (Western Athletic Conference) Coach of the Year this season.

She will replace Natasha Adair, whose Sun Devils went 10-22 last season, catalyzing the change of coach in Tempe, Arizona for next year.
