Kurdish activist, politician and former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Representative in Hewlêr (Erbil), Nasır Yağız, recently went to Russia and requested asylum. Yağız saw his request rejected and was taken into custody.
After four days in custody in Moscow, he was handed over to Turkey this morning.
Yağız was brought to Istanbul Airport this morning, detained and taken to Gaziosmanpaşa Courthouse in Istanbul.
