England face Latvia at Wembley this evening as the Three Lions’ 2026 World Cup qualification campaign continues.
Thomas Tuchel’s tenure began with three points against Albania on Friday evening and England will aim to maintain their perfect record tonight.
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two countries, with England starting as overwhelming favourites against a side 136 places below them in FIFA’s world rankings.

England vs Latvia – Predicted lineup and team news
England team news
Anthony Gordon has withdrawn from the England squad after picking up an issue off the bench against Albania. The Newcastle winger’s problem was described as ‘worrying’ by Tuchel and Gordon has now returned to his club side for treatment.
Myles Lewis-Skelly will hope to retain his place at left-back after a dream debut. The 18-year-old became the youngest-ever player to score on his first England appearance with the opener against Albania.
Tuchel could look to rotate his team for the clash with Latvia, as he assesses his options as England manager. Jarrod Bowen and Morgan Rogers are pushing for inclusion after underwhelming displays from Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford last time out.

England predicted XI: Pickford; James, Guehi, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Henderson, Bellingham; Bowen, Rogers, Kane.
