Kerry GAA have confirmed that this coming weekend’s County Senior Football League fixtures – the vast majority of which had been set for Sunday, March 30 – will now be played one day earlier as a result of the Kingdom’s qualification for the National Football League Final.
With Kerry’s showdown with Mayo in Croke Park on Sunday, officials were keen to avoid a clash of fixtures, and to facilitate as many travelling fans as possible heading up the M7 to support the boys in green and gold.
"Following Kerry’s win today in the National Football League, they have reached the final and will play Mayo next Sunday, March 30 in Croke Park,” a County Board statement read.
"As a result of this, the Credit Union SFL will not have a default date next weekend and games will be played on Saturday, Marcy 29 at 5pm. If clubs have an A and B game on at the same venue next weekend, the B game will be played at 3pm.
"Note: if two clubs agree to play on Sunday, March 30, the CCC will agree to this request, but both clubs need to agree.”
