"Almost a perfect day, a clean sheet!" he told Liverpoolfc.com post-match. "I don't know how I did it! It was the reflexes, I didn't know I had it in me!
"I was disappointed with the first one \[save\] I had, I fumbled a little bit and had to do it twice. But happy with that save, happy to help the team. A good win, a sold-out crowd again, so much money for the foundation. It can't be better."
On the impact the charity match will have for LFC Foundation, he added: "Like I said, it's a perfect day. For us as players, we miss those games.
"We don't miss pre-season in the holidays or training camps, but a full stadium with this pitch, these people, giving back, helping the foundation to raise money, I've been privileged to be at the Anfield community centre, I've seen what they do with the money and it's unbelievable. So, really proud that I can do this for hopefully a long time."
