The ministry emphasised the importance of domestic pilgrims taking the recommended vaccinations to perform the sacred rituals in a healthy and safe manner, thereby safeguarding their well-being and that of the wider community of God's guests.
It also advised pilgrims to receive the influenza and COVID-19 vaccines to ensure a safe Hajj season, urging them to book vaccination appointments via the Ministry of Health's Sehhaty app.
Two months ago, the Ministry of Health mandated that all Umrah pilgrims must receive a meningitis vaccine at least 10 days prior to their departure as part of updated health protocols for travellers visiting Saudi Arabia for Umrah. Travel agents have confirmed that this rule, which took effect on February 10, is now a compulsory health requirement for all Umrah pilgrims.
