The construction of the centre is set to advance medical innovation and improve care, particularly for those with endocrine tumours.
Hospital for Endocrine Surgery Research Center lead investigator Fabio Faucz said: “The Research Center will serve as a crucial hub for advancing research in adrenal, thyroid, and parathyroid tumours, bridging the gap between cutting-edge science and patient care.
“Our goal is to push the boundaries of medical science, bringing innovative solutions from the lab to the bedside and ultimately enhancing the quality of care for patients.”
As part of the HCA Healthcare Research Institute site network, the centre seeks to combine clinical expertise with research to discover biomarkers and develop diagnostic and treatment strategies.
The establishment of the centre and the role of HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital in research represent HCA Healthcare’s efforts to use its resources and patient experience data to improve hospitals, deliver patient-centric care, and refine medical practice.
