Los Angeles Clippers fans made their feelings known on Sunday night, showering Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with chants of "Flopper!" during their showdown at Intuit Dome.
The All-NBA guard, once a promising young player for the Clippers before being traded in 2019, didn't let the jeers affect him. He finished with 26 points, eight assists and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line to lead the Thunder to the 103-101 victory.
The hostility from Clippers fans was most palpable in the third quarter, especially after Gilgeous-Alexander drove to the basket and fell to the floor after the ball was slapped away from him by Bogdan Bogdanovic. After the whistle, the home fans repeatedly chanted, "Flopper!"

Despite the fans' efforts, Gilgeous-Alexander had the last laugh. The Thunder held off a late Clippers push, securing a statement win as they continue to hold on to Western Conference supremacy.
L.A., on the other hand, saw its five-game winning streak snapped despite a 25-point effort from Kawhi Leonard.
While Clippers fans tried to rattle their former player, Gilgeous-Alexander's poise under pressure only reinforced why the Thunder view him as their franchise cornerstone.
If Sunday was any indication, Clippers fans may have to get used to seeing him dominate-even with the noise against him.
