Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer could be set for the exit in the summer.
Tryer has failed to break through at Goodison Park behind Jordan Pickford and Joao Virginia, being sent out on loan to Chester FC for the 2022-23 season and then to Chesterfield.
Last summer, the shot-stopper was shipped out on loan to League One side Blackpool, where he has impressed between the sticks, keeping 11 clean sheets in 30 games.
The 23-year-old kept a clean sheet in Blackpool’s win over Northampton Town on Saturday and earned praise from his manager, Steve Bruce.

The former Newcastle United manager was impressed with Tyrer’s performance against Northampton, in one of his most assured displays in a Blackpool shirt.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Despite having him on loan only until the end of the season, Bruce has publicly expressed his desire to keep the 23-year-old at Blackpool.
Speaking after the game, he said via Blackpool Gazette: “We’d like him to stay, it’s about whether that’s possible because he’s not ours.
“The growth we’ve put into him has been huge, he’s got better each week. He certainly feels and looks far more comfortable than he was six months ago, but I suppose that is inevitable when you keep playing.

“Harry has got better. When we first got him, he hadn’t even played a game in the league, so it was a big ask for him to come in and perform week in, week out. Fair play to him, he’s worked hard and lost a bit of timber – he wants to be a keeper. I’m really pleased for him.”
The Everton loanee also made it clear previously that he would like to continue at Bloomfield Road beyond this season, but insisted that it is up to all three parties to find an amicable solution.
Tyrer’s contract at Everton is set to expire in the summer of 2026, and he is yet to make his official senior debut for the Toffees, only playing in pre-season so far.

Asmir Begovic could leave Everton in the summer as his deal expires
Everton’s backup keeper dilemma
With the contracts of Virginia and Asmir Begovic expiring, the Toffees could soon be without a backup keeper to Pickford.
If Virginia and Begovic depart as free agents, the Toffees may need to sign another keeper in the summer transfer window or promote one of their academy youngsters.
If Tyrer returns to the club in the summer, he could become that rotation option, but it is imperative that playing minutes will be extremely difficult to come by. The best course of action for Tyrer would likely be to leave the Merseysiders permanently in the summer.
However, this would not solve Everton’s backup keeper dilemma.
