The Washington Commanders are coming off one of the best runs in franchise history and one of the greatest turnarounds in team history.
The biggest concern moving forward is if they are able to do the hardest thing any team that goes through a kind of successful year like Washington did:
Sustainability.
Washington used one of the easiest schedules in the league last year to catapult themselves to a 12-win season. Next year, though, they will have a much harder schedule as they take on a second-place schedule the rest of the year. With a roster that is getting older through free agent acquisitions, the Commanders know they need to come right back with another winning season.
One former Super Bowl champion believes those very offseason moves will help on that journey.
Speaking on FS1's Speak, Keyshawn Johnson believes the Commanders did enough to close the gap against the Philadelphia Eagles.

"They're going to be better. And this is why they went out and got [Laremy] Tunsil. This is why they went out and got Deebo Samuel," Johnson said of the Commanders' latest acquisitions. "They're ahead of the curve - a thousand times over."
Washington brought in many aging veterans on their roster but each are coming with severe injury baggage. If the Commanders find a way to keep those players healthy, the team should remain in contention for a title.
And in the case of the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and New York Jet, the Commanders will be able to keep pace with the other top teams in the NFC.
