The player Chelsea must sign if they sell Noni Madueke, he thinks Eden Hazard is the Premier League's greatest ever…

Noni Madueke has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season, and Enzo Maresca’s side have missed him following his injury.

In 23 Premier League appearances, Madueke has scored seven goals and provided three assists.

However, despite his importance to this Chelsea team, the winger is still being linked with a move away from west London.

For now, though, he remains part of the squad, and Maresca will be hoping Madueke returns after the international break for the huge game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea should consider making a move for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo

Estevao Willian could always replace Madueke in the Chelsea starting XI, while the Blues still have Pedro Neto.

Neto has been utilised as a striker of late but is a winger and will be expected to return to the flank when Nicolas Jackson comes back from injury.

However, if Chelsea want to go down the route of signing a direct replacement for Madueke, then they should be all over Bryan Mbeumo.

The Cameroon international is experienced, one of the form wingers in the Premier League and proven in the division.

In the 29 appearances that Mbeumo has made this season, he has scored 15 goals and provided five assists. His numbers over the last few campaigns overall have not been terrible.

Of course, at Brentford, there are plenty of opportunities to counter-attack and find space. At Chelsea, attackers have to deal with taking on low blocks each week and not having the kind of space that their west London rivals are afforded.

It could be a completely different ball game for Mbeumo at Chelsea. But for a reasonable price, the Brentford star would still be worth considering.

Bryan Mbeumo a fan of Eden Hazard

Mbeumo may be playing for one of Chelsea’s London rivals, but that did not stop him from raving about Eden Hazard last month.

In fact, when Mbeumo discussed Hazard in an interview, he hailed him as the Premier League’s greatest ever winger.

Explaining why the Chelsea legend is the No.1 wide man in Premier League history, Mbeumo said: “I think he could change a game like this [a snap of the finger] by himself. Dribbling, finishing as well, was just too good. And he could just pass the players so easily.”

The Blues should not be pushing Madueke out of the door after the impact that he has made this term. But if they do, then Mbeumo should be the top target to replace him.
