Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has said he would love the club to sign Liverpool's Luca Stephenson on a permanent basis this summer. The 21-year-old midfielder has impressed for the Scottish Premiership side since joining on a season-long loan deal in August.
Following his move north of the border, Stephenson has made 31 appearances across all competitions and helped Goodwin's side climb to fifth in the Scottish Premiership.
Now, speaking to the Courier, Goodwin has praised Stephenson's performances since joining Dundee United and admitted he would love to sign the midfielder permanently this summer.

“I couldn’t be any happier with how those (loan) signings have done for us," said Goodwin. “Luca is one that – if he were to become available in the summer and not extend his contract at Liverpool – then we would love to be at the table talking to him. I know he’s loved his time here, as has (Sam) Dalby.
“Dalby might be priced out of the market, but I know from speaking to them all in one-to-ones that they’ve thoroughly enjoyed their time at Dundee United.”
Goodwin added: "They appreciate the way they’re looked after by the backroom team, and by the people behind the scenes who run the operations for us.
“It would be great if we could keep one or two of those guys as permanent Dundee United players.”
Stephenson was part of the Liverpool pre-season squad that faced Arsenal and Manchester United in the United States and caught the eye of Arne Slot with his impressive performances.
