Barca handed boost as Inigo trains ahead of Osasuna clash

Barcelona’s available players were back in training on Monday after five days off over the international break.

Hansi Flick and the non-internationals were back to work along with Fermin Lopez, Gerard Martin and Pablo Torre who returned early from Spain Under-21 duty.

Also present was Inigo Martinez. The central defender withdrew from the Spain senior squad with a knee injury but was part of Monday’s session.

The hope now will be that Martinez will be fit to face Osasuna on Thursday in the team’s rearranged La Liga clash.

Hansi Flick may be short of options for the game due to injuries and players’ exertions over the international break.

Marc Casado is definitely out due to a knee problem, while Robert Lewandowski and Pau Cubarsi also have physical issues.

Ronald Araujo and Raphinha are also expected to miss out as both remain with their national teams ahead of World Cup qualifiers in South America on Tuesday.
