Tottenham may have a new youth superstar on their hands in the near future.

Ange Postecoglou has been forced to utilise the likes of Dane Scarlett, Mikey Moore, and Archie Gray this season as a brutal injury crisis has struck his first-team squad.

This signals that there is a pathway for emerging stars at Spurs and the Australian has another talent to keep an eye on after a new announcement.

Dexter Oliver signs new deal that will see him link-up with De Bruyne

Dexter Oliver is highly rated at Tottenham and has agreed to join the Roc Nation Sports International agency.

The agency boasts clients such as Kevin De Bruyne and Vinicius Jr among their roster, which bodes well for Oliver’s reputation.

Upon announcement of the signing, Global Director of Football Recruitment at RNSI, Nathan Campbell said:

“Dexter’s talent and potential are undeniable, and we are committed to supporting him as he continues to develop his career.

“We believe he has a very bright future ahead of him.”

Tottenham need to keep an eye on Oliver

Oliver is a promising striker that can also feature from the wings and he showed off his goalscoring prowess in the 2-0 victory over Leicester in the Premier League Cup (23 November).

The Under-18 ace notched a brace in the East Midlands on that occasion and will have surely peaked Postecoglou’s attention with his exploits.

He claimed two assists in a 3-3 draw with Chelsea a week after that display to further enhance his growing reputation in the Lilywhites’ youth ranks.

Postecoglou is not afraid to throw his talents into the deep end if they are deserving and Oliver could continue his rise to stardom with a first-team opportunity in the near future.

If he continues his stunning development until the end of the season, surely he will find himself on the Australian’s radar sooner rather than later.

The latest move is an encouraging one, as an agency that have several superstars on their books taking an interest in his career means that he looks set to be on an upward trajectory.

It has been an underwhelming season for the Under-18’s so far, with them sitting fourth in their section of the league but Oliver’s emergence will provide reassurance that they are doing the right things.
