The Buffalo Bills have some difficult decisions to make. With just under $5 million in salary cap space, the team doesn't have enough money to pay it's incoming draft class the contracts needed.
Arguably the harder part is that there is no real one move the team can make to improve their cap standing at this point - almost all players have been restructured to the point of no return.
One of those players is tight end Dawson Knox. Originally a top player in Buffalo's offense, Knox has taken a backseat in recent years to Dalton Kincaid. While he is still a favorite of Josh Allen's, his large cap hit is something of an albatross for the Bills moving forward.
And it's clear Knox understood that when he talked about Allen during the regular season.
"This dude's incredible," Knox said, via Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com. "It's hard to describe what he does on a consistent basis every single Sunday. I've talked about it before, but sometimes you just turn into a fan. I mean, he threw a chest pass touchdown to Dalton got called back, but he's lifting the ball to guys, making plays with his feet. I'm yelling in my head [for him] to slide, but he's running guys over.
"It's so much fun to play with that dude. It's really a privilege, and I hope I get to play with him as long as I possibly can."

Knox carries a cap hit of $14 million this season. While the Bills don't save much whether they release or trade him, they could restructure the deal to open up over $6 million in space.
That could be enough to sign their incoming class of draft picks.
But it also tightens Knox's hold on the roster going into the 2025 season.
