Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing up a move for Manchester United's Jadon Sancho this summer, it has been claimed. The 24-year-old has spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea.
After making a positive start to life at Stamford Bridge, Sancho's form has dropped off in recent months, with the attacker not directly contributing to a goal since January 4. His decline in form has concerned some involved with Chelsea, though head coach Enzo Maresca has continued to pick the out-of-form star.

Although Chelsea have an obligation to buy Sancho for £25million, it was revealed on Sunday that they can get out of the agreement if they do not want to sign him on a permanent deal. Instead, the Blues would pay United £5m and Sancho, who has not featured for the Red Devils since August, would return to Old Trafford.
However, according to GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea are more likely to honour the obligation and then sell him in the same transfer window. It's added that Dortmund and Leverkusen are among those queuing up to land him this summer following his previous experiences in Germany and the Bundesliga.
Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017 and proved to be a sensation at Signal Iduna Park, racking up 50 goals and 62 assists in 137 appearances. He then had a second spell at Dortmund last season after returning to the club on loan from United - two-and-a-half years on from his £73m switch to Old Trafford.
If Chelsea do not go ahead with the obligation in Sancho's contract, it appears there is no way back for the forward at United regardless. Ruben Amorim's side are hopeful of recouping as much of the money they paid for him back, though his valuation is decreasing with his form dropping like a stone.
While Sancho has not been at his flying best at the start of 2025, Chelsea boss Maresca has continued to stay positive about the England international. Back in January, he heaped praise on Sancho.
"For me he’s doing very well," explained Maresca. "I am quite surprised with Jadon, because I knew Jadon already [from seeing him at his previous clubs] and I know what I expected from him, but in terms of being consistent, he’s doing very well.
"Apart from a short part of the season when he had some problems, when he was out ill, then for the rest he has been very good. I expected him to do well, but for all the players doing well for a long period is not easy, and he has been doing well for a long period already. He’s doing well, now he just needs to continue going in that way."
