Barcelona undertake their first training session ahead of the Osasuna game

FC Barcelona have been without a major part of their team for the last few days because these players were called up by their national sides for their respective matches in the March international break.

Meanwhile, the players who were not called up to represent their national sides were given a five-day break by Hansi Flick.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, these players, and a few others who have already returned from national duties, returned to work with Barcelona today as they start their preparations for the La Liga game against Osasuna, which was previously postponed and is now rescheduled to be played on March 27th.

Three internationals have so far returned and trained under Flick today, i.e., Fermin Lopez, Gerard Martin, and Pablo Torre. All three of these players were released by the Spain U-21 side after playing a friendly against the Czech Republic U-21 side, especially keeping in view the schedule for the Osasuna game.

Furthermore, the report mentions that there were two Barcelona Atletic players also present in this training session.

One of them was the defender Alexis Olmedo, the 19-year-old who can play both as a centre-back and a right-back and who has recently overcome a femur injury that kept him out for 2 months. The other was the 20-year-old midfielder Ruben Lopez, who also can play as a fullback, and who is playing at the Blaugrana club on loan from Deportivo.

The most notable names who had not left for national team duties and who participated in this session were Inaki Pena, Wojciech Szczesny, Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Ansu Fati, and Pau Victor.
