Dyson Daniels of the Atlanta Hawks is a superb example of how a change of scenery and a new team can completely upgrade a player’s career.
He is having his best season yet and has revealed himself as one of the greatest defensive players in the NBA.
According to StatMamba, Daniels has now made history and has become the youngest player in league history to record 200+ steals in a season.
He is currently leading the entire league with 3.1 steals per game and is now a frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year.

The best news for the Hawks is that Daniels is young, and this is only his third season in the association.
At just 22 years old, he has plenty of seasons left in him and room to continue his growth.
That growth has been explosive this year.
Along with those 3.1 steals per game, Daniels is also averaging 13.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.
Last season, he earned 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Hawks might not be as strong as they’d like, but they clearly have a bright future and Daniels is part of that.
The way he moves on the court and how he reads his opponents and gets the best of them is sensational and can make the difference during close games.
Competition for Defensive Player of the Year is tough, but Daniels has a real shot, especially since Victor Wembanyama is out of the running.
But no matter what awards he wins or how his team does, Daniels has made a massive statement this year.
