Manchester United look set to have a major squad overhaul during the summer transfer window.
Ruben Amorim will want to leave an imprint on the United squad that he inherited from former manager Erik ten Hag back in November. Two new signings have already been added to the squad in January, with Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven moving to Old Trafford.
The Manchester Evening News understands that as many as 10 players could be heading for the exit door at United this summer. Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof are all expected to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season, meaning United would not receive a fee for any of their departures but would free up some room on the wage bill.
It's a different story for other players, though. Marcus Rashford could leave to sign for Aston Villa, with a £40million fee already agreed in the option-to-buy deal with the west Midlands club.
Antony joined Real Betis on loan and United may look to cash in on the Brazilian in the summer. In order to avoid making a loss on the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules (PSR), United would need to receive a fee worth at least £32.52million.
Jadon Sancho could leave to join Chelsea on a permanent deal following his loan spell. An obligation to buy clause is included in the deal, worth up to £25million, although the Stamford Bridge outfit can get out of the deal by paying a penalty clause.
Casemiro will also be made available for transfer, although it remains to be seen what offers United may receive for the Brazilian. United would need to agree a deal worth at least £15million in order to avoid making a loss on PSR.
Tyrell Malacia is on loan at PSV Eindhoven, which includes an option to buy for the Eredivisie club. It's not clear the fee that PSV would have to pay to sign Malacia, with United paying €15million (£12.5m) to sign the left-back from Feyenoord in 2022 and may look to receive a similar fee this summer.
Altay Bayindir is another player who could leave United in the summer, with the Reds looking to sign a new goalkeeper when the transfer window opens. Bayindir signed for United in 2023 for €5million (£4.2million) and has made just seven appearances since moving to Old Trafford almost two years ago.
If United were to complete the aforementioned sales for the fees mentioned, it would see the club receive around £129million. If this were to happen, it would give United and Amorim some much-needed cash to work with to reinvest and strengthen the squad ahead of next season.
