Liverpool are reportedly chasing €60m-rated midfielder Hugo Larsson.

The Reds are expected to have a busy summer transfer window, which could see up to half a dozen players arrive at the club.

Arne Slot has publicly acknowledged the club’s ambitions, telling the BBC back in January:

“I know people sometimes question this because they haven’t seen us doing a lot in the transfer market in the summer and now in the winter as well. There’s a reason for that – because we’re happy with the squad. But I do know we’re definitely working on strengthening in the summer.”

Giorgi Mamardashvili, signed from Valencia last summer, is already guaranteed to arrive in June, and several other names could follow him.

According to German publication BILD, another player who could be joining him is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson

The talented 20-year-old only joined Frankfurt this summer from Swedish side Malmo for a reported €9 million deal.

Despite his relatively young age, he has made 37 appearances for Frankfurt in all competitions this season, scoring six times and assisting one goal.

According to the report, Liverpool are among the top clubs with a genuine interest in Larsson.

“Several top clubs (including Liverpool and Tottenham) are already chasing Hugo Larsson (20). His price tag: €60 million,” BILD reported.

The report also stated that Frankfurt have faith in Larsson staying for one more season, however, in order to continue his development.

This is not the first time Larsson has been linked with a move to Liverpool. Sky Sports Germany also reported back in November that the Swedish midfielder is attracting serious interest from Liverpool.

BILD’s latest report has confirmed that the interest still remains, while adding that Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo.

The 32-year-old Japanese national team captain, who joined Liverpool from Stuttgart in 2023 for €20 million, is said to have impressed those at Frankfurt with his precise passing, tactical intelligence, and exceptional tackling.

Eintracht values Endo’s leadership qualities, which they currently lack in midfield. However, any move may depend on Eintracht qualifying for the Champions League and Endo accepting a reduced salary.
