Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will have surely paid close attention as Portugal beat Denmark on Sunday night.
Domestic action returns this weekend but Manchester United aren’t in action until Tuesday, April 1.
Fulham dumped United out of the FA Cup so Ruben Amorim will not be preparing for this weekend’s quarter-finals.
Amorim will have surely paid close attention to one international game on Sunday though as Portugal faced Denmark.
United trio Patrick Dorgu, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were in action for Denmark against Amorim’s home country.
Portugal secured the win in extra time and one player surely caught Amorim’s attention ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United target Francisco Trincao shines in Portugal win
Much of the attention with Portugal – and for any United fans watching – is usually on Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
Ronaldo had a penalty saved before firing Portugal 2-1 up on the night whilst Bruno played the full game but failed to find the net.

The United captain did put in the corner for Joachim Andersen to score an own goal though, opening the scoring.
Portugal look to those big names for big moments but it was subsitute Francisco Trincao who stepped up.
United are interested in signing Trincao as Amorim considers raiding former club Sporting for a creative talent.
Trincao came on for Francisco Conceicao in the second half and made an enormous impact, smashing home a brilliant strike to make it 3-2 on the night and send the tie to extra time.
Trincao then needed just one minute of extra time to make his impact felt again, slotting into the corner to make it 4-2.
Portugal went on to win 5-2 on the night and photos saw Ronaldo – who had been substituted by the time Trincao scored his second – running down the touchline to celebrate with him.
This was a major showing of Trincao’s quality in the final third, undoubtedly leaving Amorim impressed as he considers a summer move.
United fans may need to trust Ruben Amorim on Trincao
We can understand some hesitance from United fans if Amorim moves for Trincao.
The Portugal ace was a wonderkid at Braga and earned himself a move to Barcelona, where many thought that he would become a star.
That didn’t happen and Trincao struggled to make a consistent impact on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2021-22 season.
Trincao has dazzled for Sporting though, recapturing his best form under Amorim having also worked together at Braga.
Amorim has helped Trincao show his best form in the past and United fans would need to trust that he can do it again rather than worry about his Wolves spell.
Sunday night showed what Trincao can do in a big game and Amorim was surely watching on believing that he could produce the same for United.
