Everton’s move from Goodison Park is set to be an emotional one for a lot of fans but there might not be as much to fear as people first anticipated.
The decision to build a brand new state-of-the-art stadium was contentious due to how iconic Goodison Park is, but the 52,888-seater Bramley-Moore Dock certainly looks the part.
Everton won’t be going into their new stadium blind in terms of preparation as the club are running a series of test events to prepare staff, the local authority, and fans themselves for what they can expect.
The second of those, an Everton Under-21 game against Bolton Wanderers B took place on Sunday (23 March) with around 25,000 fans in attendance following the first game which had an attendance cap of 10,000.
Things didn’t run completely smoothly on the day as there were concerns about crowds of Everton fans filling the train station which led to worries over safety.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King exclusively told Goodison News that he expects the Liverpool City Council to take action to rectify those issues moving forward.

Everton’s new home will be ‘grand’
Photographs of Everton’s new home have certainly got people talking, but Liverpool Echo’s Michael Ball has revealed that they “don’t capture just how grand it is”.
He admitted that having heard fans talk about that subject prior to visiting he was unsure but those fears have been assuaged and he was “in awe” at taking in the Toffees’ new surroundings.

Many supporters have been dreaming of a bigger and better stadium to compete with their Merseyside rivals and that’s something that they’re going to have from next season.
Any worries about it being soulless or lacking in atmosphere have been vanquished during the test events in what is said to be a “forward-thinking stadium” that is going to retain the energy that Goodison Park as always created.

Everton are being urged to make a specific change
Things might be looking positive for Everton in terms of how the atmosphere will be inside Bramley-Moore Dock, but there are some who might be priced out of experiencing that.
Everon are charging over £200-000-a-season for certain executive boxes at the new stadium, which is an eye-watering figure for most people.
The club have yet to sell many of their highest-priced luxury hospitality packages for the upcoming season, and that’s something Everton will look to address to make as much profit as possible from this move.
